Speech Beach

Privacy policy

Effective 18 September 2026

In short: Speech Beach does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your voice never leaves your device.

Microphone

Speech Beach asks for microphone access for one purpose: to play your voice back to you through your headphones in real time, with the delay and pitch shift you choose. The app also measures the loudness of your voice on the device to drive adaptive mode.

On-device processing

All audio is processed on your iPhone or iPad as you speak. Audio is never recorded, saved to a file or sent over the internet. When you turn feedback off, the audio is simply gone.

Practice history

To show your progress, the app saves a short summary of each practice session on your device: when it happened, how long it lasted, your speech rate and the number of detected disfluencies. These summaries never contain audio, stay on your device, are not sent to us or anyone else, and can be deleted at any time from the History screen. Deleting the app also deletes them.

Free trial and purchase

The free trial and the one-time unlock are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID or payment details; the app only learns from Apple whether the trial has started and whether the unlock was purchased.

What we don't do

Data collected

None. The app works offline and does not send any information to us or to third parties.

Children

Because the app collects no data, it collects no data from children either.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
